Of course we cant find him. My thanks goes to dumbYa for dropping the ball in Afghanistan to fight an unnecessray war in Iraq. Why arent more people out raged about this?

You think if we plopped 150,000 troops in Afghanistan it will increase our odds of finding him?

Maybe if we had dropped those 150,000 troops in September/October 2001....

How do you suggest we move 150,000 troops in less than a month?

Think they dont need to eat or something?

The point is, we should have started sending troops to Afghanistan, immediately following the attacks Sept 11th, 2001 and in far greater numbers that we did.

In ones and twos?

You apparently dont understand the logistics involved with planning a full scale invasion.
And placing more troops in the country isnt necessarily the answer, especially since he probably went to Pakistan soon after we did show up.

Neither does Bush apparently, since ultimately, we invaded the wrong country.

Tell us why it wouldn't have increased our odds?

Afghanistan is a pretty large country and sticking large amount of troops wont increase the odds of finding him. Even if all 150,000 troops were on foot combing the country they could only cover a small portion of it.

All those 150,000 troops would be doing is sitting in the city centers while rangers, special ops, and drones search for him in the mountains.

One thing that is taught in operations management is that throwing human resources is not neccessarily the answer to fix something. Often times having more people working on the same problem will decrease productivity and effectiveness.

troops would create a lot of troubles for all supplies and communication between taliban and osama etc..

plus they would constantly be gathering intel

Maybe but since most of his supplies are probably coming across the pakistan border they will do nothing except get in the way. Communications is being intercepted by many agencies. I dont think having 150,000 troops will make or break us intercepting the right communication.

I honestly think you are confusing focus and resources with boots ... there is far more than foot soldiers on the ground in Iraq...

sometimes people seem to be blinded

When did I ever say there were only foot soldiers in Iraq?

You still havent proved much of anything that 150,000 more troops on the ground in Afghanistan will somehow make it more likely to capture OBL.

Your flimsy theory about supply routes and communications wont cut it.

Most Bush supporters don't remember the difference between Sadaam and Bin Ladin.

It's not as easy as you think.
When we invade Aruba looking for her, then you will have made a valid point.

Yes, and I heard that Natalee was responsible for murdering more than 3000 Americans in one day and causing a trillion dollars worth of damage or more to the United States of America

I truly hope your post was just some sort of sarcasm

My post was meant to illustrate that it is much harder to find someone than you think and that just throwing more troops/people might not be the answer.

Aruba is a tiny island and everybody there was basically searching for her at one time. Afghanistan is much larger. I'm pretty sure even if we had sent 150,000 troops to search for bin Laden, Afghanistan's surface area to troops ratio would still be bigger than Aruba's surface area per Aruba's population ratio.

So, I don't think that just sending more troops would have guaranteed finding bin Laden. Sure, it would have increased the odds a bit but the odds are still so small that it would be better to use those resources elsewhere.

Your post was meaningless.
