I figured this would be better to post here, even though I'm playing the PC version. (which is a great port for once)
If you at all like JRPG's and/or Tales series, this is a must buy. It is GREAT. The story is darker than any Tales game I've played and while it is a prequel of sorts to Zesteria (which is horrible, don't get it), they are their own stories and you don't need to play one to understand the other. Berseria is set 1000 years earlier than Zesteria and I think the only crossover is in some TV anime that is out now. The combat is fun, and not tedious depending on your playstyle and while on the surface it has the same base as other Tales games, it is it's own thing (and way better than Xillia or Zesteria).
I am about 40 hours into the game and really like the story and characters. It is STILL a Tales game however, so if you don't like others in the series, you probably won't like this one.
