Taking the train into NYC tonight...

how long is the train ride ?

i think i'm going down that area tonight 🙂

possibly drag racing again in englishtown ..... but not too definite yet

Was in Penn Station yesterday. Caught the LIRR train 1 minute before it left. Otherwise.. woulda had to wait 30 full minutes. :Q

LOL!

I survived!!! Almost messed up the transfer in Newark. WhoTF(!) has lettered AND numbered tracks and doesn't put signs on the platforms telling you how to get between tracks??

I was just going in to waste the last evening before I left. A chick from the company I was training with in New Jersey met up with me at Penn and showed me around.

We stopped by PG King's pub and had a drink then walked and walked and walked.... 🙂

Went to Times Square, Herald Square, Rockefeller center, Radio City Music Hall, NBC studios, Ed Sullivan Theater, and all the way up to the Hard Rock Cafe. Had drinks and dinner there while watching the Syracuse/Auburn game. Then we went down to another pub (something) Deweys. Had a couple drinks and it was time for me to catch the last train out.

Finally got back to Bridgewater and got my ass kicked by the freeway *AGAIN* 🙂() and ended up taking a 15 minute ride on 287 N to find a u-turn so I could be on the right side of the fscking road. :|

The next morning I did manage to make it to Newark Airport without incident. 🙂

I'm now back in beautiful Utah where I can drive and not even need to think about where I'm going. 😀

Wouldnt it be easier just to drive to Metropark? Or heck.. drive down to New Brunswick, dump the car in a Rutgers parking lot and take the train straight in?

This line runs much later then yours and has no transfers..

Absolutely... She's seen pics. 🙂

It probably would if I could navigate the friggin' roads. You see how I turned a 5min drive from the Bridgewater station to my hotel into a 20-30min detour to Morristown and points in-between. 😱

Well, getting to the New Brunswick station would take you a total of 2 roads... take 287 south to exit 10, take that road all the way to the end, and right next to the train station is a Rutgers lot which is open to guests on the weekends and nights. It's a gaurded lot too so you are set and it is literally right next to the train station...
