Taking the Tempur-Pedic challenge, and hating it.

So I've always had trouble finding good pillows. I've tried most everything from firm to soft and from large to small with no success.

I sleep on my back and my side sometimes. Usually I end up with my shoulders all out of whack and my neck hurting when I wake up.

So I decided it was time to try a Tempur-Pedic solution. They suggested the countour neck pillow to start. They also said it could take up to 2 weeks before I got used to it.

It's been seven days and I'm about ready to throw in the towel. I haven't slept through the night yet. I'm tossing and turning and waking up stiff as ever.

Anyone have a similar experience or thoughts on the matter? Should I wait another week before giving up completely?

The pillows suck...You need a good feather pillow to sleep on. The sponge doesn't cut it.

For a mattress topper however, the memory foam material is AWESOME..

Foam mattress topper + feather pillow = win

I have one that looks like a traditional shaped pillow. I don't even see the exact same one on there site anymore but the RhapsodyPillow looks pretty much exactly like it.

I've had it for about 2 years now and am very happy with it.

I recall trying a contoured pillow years ago and hated it.

Yeah, I hate those pillows too. It's like sleeping in a neck brace or something.

My favorite pillows so far are the pillowtop memory foam pillows from Kohls.

I returned them today. The guy at the store told me I should have gone another week. Told me he hated his until the third week and now he couldn't live without it.

I took the refund.

i don't like the tempurpedic contour shaped pillows.

i have a latex foam pillow that shaped like a pillow that i like a lot. perfect level of firmness for me.

i didnt find memory foam pillows comfortable either until i broke them in, but eventually i would get tired of sleeping on a stiff piece of foam and switch back to feather pillows.

i have the same problem too, i liek sleeping on my side but it makes my neck and shoulders achy as hell. get a thick mattress topper and a nice feather pillow. after a few weeks, you'll get a nice body groove on your topper and you will love it
