Taking the QX9650 to 3.8 with stock HSF using only multiplier

It's coming from the Egg on Friday and that's my intent, to take it to 3.8 using the stock HSF only and using the multiplier only. I'm planning on using doing about 1.222 on the Vcore, so I think that should keep it stable. I'm not going to mess with the FSB since I'm using 8gb of DDR2-800 and I'm trying to see how this thing will clock noob style using only the basics, though I will be using AS5 on the cooler rather than the stock wax. The board is a GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS4 Rev. 2.0 and the ram is OCZ Reaper HPC Edition. Any ideas or suggestions, perhaps some wise words or stories of how high this thing can clock on stock cooling? ;)

So you think that I'll be better off with a voltage in the 2.8 region? Also, why do you think I'd have issues with 8GB on that board and do you mean with OCing it just in general?
