Budget is $1300-1400
Mainly for gaming and some media encoding.
Want to buy all from one source so looking at newegg. Realize I could have saved money not going I7 for probably comparable performance but committed to going I7 to help futureproof(like that is possible :)). Probably won't build another system for 3-4 years.

Parts I already have:
Rocketfish Case (that big monster)
Coolermaster 750W PS
22" monitor

System build:
I7 920 $295
Vigor Gaming Monsoon III LT $60
Asus P6T Deluxe $299
evga gtx260 216 $248
WD 1TB HD WD1001FALS $110
corsair 6gb ddr3-1600 TR3X6G1600C8D (out of stock right now)$275
vista Home premium 64 bit oem $100
samsung 22x dvd $29

Total $1417(before shipping but most of this is free at newegg)

Since not extreme overclocking probably can downgrade to 1333 DDR3? Looked at the 4870 1GB video cards too and seem to be about a performance tie from what I have read.

Any of your opinions would be appreciated

Thanks

edit: After reading the x58 review that came out today I switched to the Asus P6T. Added the Vigor cooler too.

Doubt anything bad could be said about setup. Killer indeed. Coolermaster have a solid name in the psu section? I have no experience with them myself.

You can definitely downgrade to DDR3-1333 ram since you don't play to do extreme overclocking.

Looks good, I have this RAM Newegg with the P6T Deluxe and 920 CPU.
The 1333 MHZ I linked has a lower voltage of 1.5 versus the 1.65 V 1600mhz you have selected, Intel says if you go over 1.65 V you could damage your chip. Since you won't be OCing hardcore just save a ton of money and get the 1333 MHZ RAM for under 200 bucks...You won't notice any difference in performance. This RAM is super solid for the price.

You won't regret getting the core i7 920, I can't explain how fast and great it is! Good luck!
