Taking SATs tomorrow

Anyone got any tips? I've studied a bit for them, done a few practice tests and scored fine. But they are only practice tests, I'm kinda affraid of the real test. I'm also afraid I will lack the necessary sleep, like last night (see here). Also, I've heard most colleges just look to see if you fall in a range. Does anyone have those exact (or close) ranges?

Thanks! 😀

the biggest problem is fear, keep it in perspective, the test is made to be hard for 7th graders not highschool juniours, its just simple geomtry and algebra, and some vocubalary tests.

godd luck!

Don't know about other schools...but UC's make you find an index score...add X amount of points for every point you got on the SAT, Y amount of points for every bit of GPA, etc.

US News & World Report College Rankings <-- There are different ranking lists here. When you click on a college, SAT ranges are under "admission statistics".

Make sure you get a good night's sleep tonight! There's no amount of studying at this point that will help you now, so might as well be well-rested so you'll be alert during the whole long exam. Good luck! 🙂

<< Where do you want to go to school? >>

I'm supposed to have decided that already? uhoh 🙂 I still have a good 7 months to figure that out. I've been looking at places like Syracuse, Tufts, maybe BU or BC. But honestly, I haven't given it much thought. I've been totally overloaded with work from school for the past 3 months. It hasn't really given me much time to think about college. Also, my school's college advisor had a meeting with me and all he did was basically tell me i couldn't get into any school in the world 🙂 But he's full of it. He tells everyone that they are stupid and can't go to college. My grades a good enough to get me anywhere I want (Harvard, Yale, Stanford, etc Excluded), and I'm pretty sure I'll do well on the SATs.

Thanks for the link, btw, klee.

Well good luck. If it matters any, I've heard the East Coast schools put a lot less emphasis on SAT's when compared to our coast

yeah don't try and take a bunch of tests tonight to prepare it'll only jinx you...just chill tonight maybe go out and have fun with your friends, but don't stay out too late and get a good night's rest 🙂 good luck!
