This thread got me thinking about some of the contraptions I've made with friends.
Well we have this one funnel/bong we used to use back in the day, named Sarah the Squid. It's actually an 8-person funnel with a 5-gallon Poland Spring jug as it's reservoir. And yes, we know squids only have 6 legs.
But anywho, my friend is having a party tonight after getting back from Iraq a week ago, and we spent two hours today cleaning it out and getting it ready. The beast is the 5 gallon jug, with a main valve right where the jug meets the PVC, it comes down, branches off to the left and right. Off of the left and right side, there are 4 little segments coming off of each of them. 2 one way, and 2 on the other side. Each of the branches has valves on it in case we don't have 8 people to man it. Off of the valves comes 1" plastic tubing.
The most beer we've ever put in it at once was about 50, however we have done 20+ beers with various liquors at certain times. This thing really should come with a Surgeon General's warning.
And yes, blah blah blah, alcohol poisoning, blackouts are bad, blah blah blah, alcoholism. We all know about the dangers of drinking, but this thread isn't to discuss that.
