Taking ownership of a Vista hard drive?

Nocturnal

Lifer
I am using XP but need to some how take ownership of a Vista hard drive that needs to be backed up. When I right click, properties of the Docs and Settings folder, there are no security tabs therefore I'm not able to normally take control or ownership of that folder. Is there another way to do it?

Also, you don't want to be messing with the permissions on the Documents and Settings directory on Vista. That is just a junction point, and the permissions are to deny access to pretty much everyone by design.

I'm using XP Pro. So what would be the best way to get the data in those directories (User) accounts? Any ideas or is this just not possible with XP Pro?

I am a retarded idiot/tard. Users folder was right there all along. I'm seriously a dolt. Sorry about this thread!
