I have a BFG Tech Geforce 6800GT PCI-Express and I?m going to put a Zalman VF700-ALCU with AS5 on it but I?m not sure how to take off the thermal paste that?s already on it.

Hello,
If you take a lint free cloth or even a cotton swab or q-tip, dip it in alcohol, and then rub the chip you should be able to get the old paste off. It may take a few tries to get it all, but it will come off. Nail polish remover can also be used, but I prefer alcohol. Hope that helps.

Rubbing alcohol thats 91% pure or above is best. I've heard that a coffee filter will work well as a lint free cloth.

If you have a Fry's around you they sell a 99.9% pure isopropyl alcohol and lint free cloths in a package for $5. Pretty handy.
