Temps have dropped in my area- we're expecting the high today to be a whopping 4 degrees with last nights low -4 (F). Taking advantage of the situation, moved my AMD 2200+ out to the unheated garage to see what sort of OC I could get out of it.....
This system topped out at 2.00 ghz @150fsb (2400+,and was kinda flakey at that speed) inside the house. Temps always on the high side- never lower than 55 for the processor, 40 for the chipset. After moving everything out to the garage, I've got the system now up to 2.133 @158 fsb (reports now as a 2600+)-seems to be running stabile- has been running Seti for the last 8 hours without a bobble. Temps are reading 28 for the CPU, and 2 for the chipset.
Going to try to let it run out there for as long as possible, might be interesting to see what it will do when I move it back in.....

While we didn't reach 4 degrees, we got as low as 8 degress this morning which is pretty darn cold for Georgia. I happened to notice my MBM temps this morning before I came to work. Even with the heater going full blast, overall I had a 2C drop in temps, both case and processor and I didn't even have to move my case outside :)

You should see how high a FSB you can achieve. Try setting the multiplier lower and jack that FSB up!!! On a new board with a 1/5 divider I bet you could hit 200 fsb easily!

Keep us posted!

Well, I'd love to change the divisor, unfortunately, the Gigabyte Ga7VRXP doesn't have that feature (not that I'm aware of, anyway). Besides, running Crucial 2100 ram ain't helping too much either! Still, feel its a pretty good OC for no more effort than what it took- shows me I still have some room to work with, as long as I get things cooler........
