Just put some syrup or something outside on the table, then put the far upside down on it and wait for the wasp to start eating. Then take off the jar and you can get a few shots in before it flies away I would guess.

Nope, not by a long shot.
 
Fridge indefinately, probably. Once, I was going for a midnight snack, and a moth landed inside the fridge, on a package of bagels. I shut the door. I go for my bagel the next morning, and remember the moth. I breathed gently on it, and flew off. Woot.
