The Arlington is great. It's the hotel where Lucky Luciano used to stay during Prohibition. You can get a spa package for a reasonable price, too. That includes a very involved mineral bath/steam treatment and a massage. As far as other things to do in Hot Springs, I enjoy going to Oaklawn to bet on the ponies. They have live racing during the spring, simulcast racing during the off-season. Also, Magic Springs is fun if you want to ride roller coasters, etc.

More on the shopping:

Well, I'm not really a shopper by nature. But I do remember that the same neighborhood the Arlington is in has several shops. They mainly sell curios and jewelry (some rather high-end), but there are a few clothing sellers as well.

There is also a mall which is about 15 minutes away from the Arlington (by car), if that is a requirement.

thanks, they are both my g/fs so its not about trying to get them in bed, they will do what i want them to anyways at home. i mainly want to try to make them as happy as they make me, and i know they love animals, nature stuff, shopping and nice restaurants.
