OK, so I was watching Spike TV (TNN) the other day and saw a show called "most extreme challenge" or something like that, and it was this footage from some Japanese TV show with american people dubbing "funny" stuff over their speech. The dubbing was totally boring and inane, like everything on Spike TV, but the footage itself was totally hilarious. I've been watching this all the time now, with the sound muted, and I can't get enough. The credits say it's from a show called "Takeshi's Castle", which judging by the fan sites, was a Japanese game show which is or was also broadcast in the UK. Anyone know where I can find the original shows here in the states?

For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, just watch the Spike TV show. It has to be seen to believed. Think of the Japanese doing Double Dare, only way more violent.

Isn't the guy who does the dubs Iron Chef the same guy who does Most Extreme Elimination Challenge? Regardless, some of the dub work is pretty good. The Japanese have some crazy ass game shows though, that's for sure.

eh, it's really juvenile. i'm sure i would have thought all the penis jokes were funny when i was 14, but i have this sense that it would be a lot more funny if we could hear what they were really saying.
