My parents just got a new printer (lexmark x4530). It is wireless-capable, and that is how it is being used right now. We have tried connecting it via USB also with the same problem.
The problem is that when I try to print, it just sits there and after at least 5 minutes it will eventualy print. My dad's windows XP laptop will print over wireless to the printer just fine, it prints immediately. But this new Dell just will not print.
It's a Dell Inspiron/Vista Home Premium, which is less than a week old. Any ideas what could be causing the conflict? I think I might uninstall the antivirus/firewall software and see if that corrects the issue. They are using Avast/zonealarm (both free versions)
It's obviously some sort of software conflict, I just can't figure out what.
