You poor excuse for a mother. Who brings a 1 year old baby to a 10:00pm showing? WTF were you thinking father of this obnoxious creature. You two inconsiderate turds have probably spawned an uber inconsiderate turd that will scream at the movie screen while throwing popcorn at it while shining his laser pen at the screen while farting and laughing at his own flatulence when he gets older.

Exactly why I don't patronize public theatres anymore.
Not going to pay money to have my evening fucked with by some ill mannered punkass kid. You're a kid to me if you're under 45.

Never going to a opening week showing for a major blockbuster again without an R rating. Had to sit in the front row, infront of a family (was behind until they "forced" me over). Effing little kid kept kicking my chair.

Complain to the staff and they'll kick them out. Ask me how I know.

Your use of the word über completely ruined what could have been a decent rant. Next time, I would urge you to reconsider its use. Everyone knows this.

I had to complain for the first time last week as 5 or 6 teens in the front row wouldn't quit texting. Would be fine if they held the phone in their lap, but they lay back, feet up on the seat, phone held at arms length above their head. Morons.

That sucks. The worst thing I had to endure while watching Avatar was mexicans speaking spanish the entire thing. Luckily it's a loud movie and I can block it out.

This was the first movie that I saw since The Hangover. I refuse to pay the ridiculous AMC prices or any other movie theater. I'll just bide my time and wait for it to come out on Netflix.

Same thing happened to me during my viewing of Avatar. It was literally an infant. You couldn't find a sitter or something? If you made the decision to become (a) parent(s), you need to act like one.

These examples [especially now during this time of cold/flu season] are why I wait until the movie is about a week from being pulled from the line up [~2 months] to go see it at the 10:30am matinee during the week - there might be 2 or 3 other people in the entire theater. :) If viewing in the theater isn't a requirement [some movies you just have to watch on the big screen] then I'll wait until it's available at the $1.00 rental box.

I haven't been to a sit down theater since Spiderman 2.

When I make a decision to not patronize something, I mean it.

Had exactly the same experience couple of years ago watching AvP2:Requiem. Luckily, the mother left after 30 minutes of non stop screaming. What kind of an idiot mother would bring a toddler to an alien movie with special effects reaching 80db volume? Rhetorical question. Since then I've been to the movie theater exactly twice, one on a date and one with a bunch of friends.

Additionally, $5.99 for the whole family on my 55" HDTV with reclining theatre seating is a no brainer. Sure, I have to wait several months to watch the movie, but no movie is worth $9/head anymore.

I haven't had any really bad ones lately, thank god. Worst I had was a drunk guy at Drag Me To Hell laughing his ass off to almost every scene, which was annoying but it was kind of a silly movie.

This.
Movie theaters suck ass.

The last movie I watched in a theater was Reign of Fire.

What, I must be lucky, my theatre has a glass walled, sound proof room, up next to the projector to take care of that problem.

I do not like theaters in general. I especially dont like them when they are run by pussies who refuse to kick out rude customers.
For the first time in 10 years I went to a theater recently, for Star Trek. We got into the Thursday night sneak preview, so it had few customers. And nobody made any noise. I was impressed.
But I wont go back again for at least another 10 years.
