How do you fondle your wheel?

I find myself mostly holding it at 12 and 8 with my left elbow resting on the door-rest.

9 and 5 when I've got my arm out the window.

more 8 and 5 regularly

I often resume the 10 and 2 a lot though

90% of the time, my left elbow is on the door rest and my left hand is around 7-8 o'clock on the steering wheel; almost exactly what Ornery posted, and my right hand is on the shift knob. When my arm gets tired and I switch to holding with my right, it's usually around 2 o'clock. I don't know how you guys can drive with your hands at 12 or 1. I have long legs and have the seat as far back as it will go, so I have to really reach to hold the wheel securely at 12.

Depends on the situation. In a straight line probably at 10 or 2 with either hand depending if I'm still shifting gears. I may just keep my left hand at 9 most of a ride or something. On long drives on the highway probably down at the bottom except when I come to take turns and such.
