So I was using my Computer as usual and suddenly I see a Pop up message saying take this survey, but it doesn't say what for, or what company or product. The computer has a very recent install of Windows 7 64-bit and I don't browse or download illegal content or websites. What is this screen, and where is this survey coming from?

I did recently download a "Free" but apparently legit software to edit audio files, which I ended up deleting a few seconds after because I didn't like it. I searched the Uninstall Programs section and I honestly don't see anything that shouldn't be there.

I didn't know where I should post this so I posted it on here seeing that the "Off Topics" get plenty of attention, was hoping to get an answer.

Thanks

The audio program probably installed adware that you left checked. There in your programs is what the survey is, "Relevant Knowledge." Delete that and you should be fine.

I would install some antivirus though (malwarebytes for me) and scan just in case.

Spyware ftw! ;)

Also stop sticking with windows 7 and just get win 10 for free.

You know you want to.

Oh wow, that was it right there. I swear I didn't see it the first time. Thanks a lot man!

I can get Windows 10 Student I believe is called, which is like Enterprise but I feel more comfortable with Windows 7, I have really enjoyed it so I decided to go back with it.

No problem, hope it works. ;) Windows 7 is no big deal. I prefer 10, but 7 doesn't have huge vulnerabilities or anything. If you do look at upgrading, windows 10 is more like 7 than 8, so you should feel at home.
