Summer internship opportunity
Strategy Consulting Industry
More prestigious company name than Company B
Located in Asia
I will be worked like a dog and the pay will be crap
Worry about getting a full time job when I return?

Company B:
Full time offer
Technology Consulting Industry
Great place to launch a career but not as prestigious as Company A
Located in U.S
Good pay
Easier transition to the job and location


Full time experience trumps a summer internship experience any day right?

youngins ... gotta love them. i would go with B. There are people out there who would love to be in your shoes. They would definitely choose B. I didnt graduate from a big university but I'm making just as much if not more than someone who went to a big name university.

1. Is one option going to give you significantly better work than to do the other? If yes than go with that one.
2. When do you graduate. If you have at least on semester left then go international just for the travel.
3. Is the prestige of A so much better than B that it makes up for the work done at B? IBM vs Joe's Crab Shack and Computer Put Together Place?

Sounds like that's the case as "prestigious" strategy consulting applies only to those three. Option B is probably something like Accenture or BearingPoint, so take A and make sure you get a full-time offer.

Yup. It's when you change jobs later on that you make more $$ anyway. Start off at a big prestigious company and you may just end up being "stuck" there because you liked prestige more. Start anywhere, build experience, move on easier.
