Me and 2 friends went and saw it today. FWIW one friend brought his girlfriend, and I had nothing else to do so I went.

Not bad for a chick flick. Was kind of an awkward movie (just about every scene involved the characters in awkward situations). Zooey (Rashida Jones) is really pretty though, reminds me of Jessica Alba.

That's all.

I saw 'Last Chance Harvey' alone. There was a surprising number of middle-aged men who also came alone too...

How's it even remotely a chick flick? Judd Apatow doesn't exactly fit the chick flick director description.

I hope to see it tomorrow.

I went to see it...with just one other dude. My girlfriend wouldn't see it becuase it was too "guy movie-ie" and I really wanted to see it. It was awesome.

Oh, and, Judd Apatow had nothing to do with it btw.

After watching Forgetting Sarah Marshall, I am going to be very worried every movie with Jason Segel in it spending time standing around showing his dick. :disgust:

A) Judd Apatow didn't have anything to do with this movie.

B) Knocked Up turned into a chick flick half way through (and got remarkably less funny as well)

I just posted in the other thread, but Apatow actually had nothing to do with this movie. I assumed he at least produced it when I saw the trailer a while back, but according to imdb he had no involvement.

And it really is kind of a chick flick/bromance hybrid, much more so than the other Bromance movies we've seen lately that have skewed more towards gross-out humor.

If you want more of guy's movie Bromance, check out this trailer:

Yeah, I wrote that without thinking. All of the main actors have been in Apatow films so I spoke too quickly. Whoops!

That is NOT a chick flick... or even fucking close. Just because it has several women in the movie doesn't mean it's a chick flick.

Yep I was like wtf about the movie. That and Wedding Crashers were cool in the beginning but about halfway through turned into typical chick flicks. I don't like these veiled "guy" movies that turn into chick flicks.

No, but it's a bromance movie that hits a lot of themes that women relate to. I saw it with 5 total people (2 guys, 3 girls) and the girls were "ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhing" at many of the romance/touchstone moments more than they were laughing at the jokes.

Yea bromance movies are just as bad in my book as chick flicks. They try to cater to guys but still are really feminine.

So? It's a perfect date movie. The jokes are pretty guy focused IMO (I mean they had a scene where the guys were talking about their habits of jacking off...) but has a good enough story for the girls to like it. Still I wouldn't feel embarrassed about seeing it with guy friends. Who the fuck cares as long as you liked the movie?
