Anyone know some non-non-hanus program for searching one's LAN? I want to find stuff that people at my college are sharing, without sifting through Network Neighborhood for hours.

This is what I use to browse my schools network. Works pretty well too. Also, if someone has a password you can get a plugin that cracks the shared password. I think the plugin only works if the system that is sharing the files is win95/98/me.

OMG! This works on the Internet too. Sheesh...

Careful if your on a usniversity network with watchful admins. I had a friend that found a share finder program and got busted. The admins called him and told him they thought his machine might have been compromised. If he didn't shut down the program they said they would disconnect him from the network.

I'm all for showing network newbies how insecure their machines are, just use these softwares sparingly.
