Take a "shot" of salt?

For a certain sum of money tonight I unscrewed a cap off a salf shaker and downed all the salt inside. How much would it take you to do the same? Whoever gets closest to my total gets a . Also, keep in mind your drunk.

For those wondering... I could not finish it. I got all the salt in my mouth waited about 45 seconds and ended up spitting most of it out. I drank 4 bottles of water afterwards and felt fine.

You will throw up afterwards. I once (I was 9 or 10) asked my dad if he would give me a quarter if I swallowed a handful of salt. He said sure, so I did it. There are very few things that make you feel quite so nauseated. It is an extremely horrible feeling, and it left me on the brink of throwing up for 10 minutes. My stomach still burned for a while afterwards. My dad must not have been impressed because he reneged on his promise to give me a quarter. Ugh.

Idiotic. Downing one cup of salt all at once has a 100% chance of killing you. Depending on the size of the salt shaker, it could be more or less than that. That is similar to saying, how much money will it take for you to jump off the Empire State building?

How is downing salt anything like jumping off of the Empire State building? You said yourself you may not die from chugging it, however - you are guarenteed to die from jumping off the Empire State building.
And the OP said he spit out a lot of the salt, so why mention anything about his existence tommorow?

i remember reading somewhere that ingesting a tablespoon of salt can seriously damage your body/ kill you. but my memory sucks so who knows
