i dont have DVI on my TV
just hdmi and component

so would this work at all?
or would i need a seperate vid card for TV out

ive tried that with my 8500DV and the resolution just couldnt be fixed, even with powerstrip, it cut off the top and bottom and the sides, i dont want to buy the board and pin all my hopes on that the wire will work this time

For an HTPC I'd say get the MSI K8NGM2-FID. Unlike the Asus model, the MSI comes with dvi, vga, svideo, and component out (svideo/component via bracket as seen in newegg's pics). With Asus it's a separate purchase.

I personally have some problems with my a8n-vm csm but am waiting on a new cpu as that's the only part I haven't replaced yet. Basically the MSI and Asus 6150 boards are the same except that the MSI has settable vdimm in the BIOS and it comes with the nice TV out bracket.
