Take a look at my rig and estimate how long it will be "high end"

After upgrading my GPU to one of the G80/R600 variants...I'm thinking this should be pretty top end until at least early 2007... thoughts?

Three weeks.

Maybe four.

It's a very nice rig only things i'd pick holes in are the HDs, which are already out of date.

Shoot three weeks! lol

No, what do you think I should upgrade to HDD wise? I don't use much space at all and the Raptor 150 didn't seem that much faster

Don't worry about comparing your machine to the latest and greatest. Measure your machine in how well it performs the functions that you want it to do. COnsidering you're getting a 7800 GTX, I'm guessing on gaming, and you'll be able to do that for a good while.

Do you need to upgrade? Other than the graphics card there isn't much room for improvement at all. The raptor 150 is around 20% faster btw and size and speed are very closley linked for hard drives.

No I dont need to upgrade other than GPU (have the GTX now) which I will around the G80 time...

Anyway I had a bunch of money last summer so I decided to finally build the ultimate rig; which last July just when the AMD Dual cores and GTXs came out, it was... but I was pondering how long it would remain generally a high end machine so I figured I'd see what everyone thought.
