$2,500.00 for only for a small sample; You still incur all the other costs. And these and many others are just temporarily in space. Eugene Shoemaker's ashes on the moon is pretty cool though.

That's actually pretty cool. It's also incredible how relatively cheap it is to send something to space now. Though I wonder if this is just going in LEO and going to burn up in a few years or if it's going high enough to stay up permanently.

I always thought it would be cool to make a small satellite and have it sent up. Though I imagine the cost is still quite high for an individual sat. In this case everybody contributing $2,500 is what is paying for it really. Looks like each slab can hold 60 or so, not sure how many in the sat.
