Takamine G Series EG440C NEX Acoustic-Electric Guitar
The Takamine EG440C NEX is an exceptionally good value. Made to strict specifications, it features a spruce top and mahogany back and sides. A single cutaway offers easy access to the top frets. It includes the TP4T, an easy to use preamp featuring a 3 Band Graphic EQ and built in tuner. A rosewood fingerboard with abalone dot inlays and an abalone rosette combined with gold tuners makes this guitar look as good as it sounds.

Stage-ready Takamine tone machine. Order today.

I ordered a blue one and should have it by tomorrow. everyone's been giving this guitar a great review as a great intermediate guitar for a beginner's guitar price!

ONLY the blue one is on sale for $250. it's a clearance item as that color is no longer being made. the regular price is $500.

this price is also at musiciansfriend.com. and lastly, if you go to a guitar center they may be able to pricematch you with a different color, but ymmv with that.

This is actually a pretty good deal. It's a quality guitar (it's on the tinny side for my tastes, but that's a Takamine thing), and that's about $150 less than anywhere else.

i am coming from a Johnson $100 acoustic electric guitar from when i started out 6 years ago. sounds damn good but it is a pain in the ass to play. the build quality is also sketchy at best.

this takamine will surely be a great upgrade to that :)

received the guitar today and for $250 it's a steal. this guitar holds up to $600-800 guitars i've played at stores. fit and finish are superb, action is perfect for me, and there's no buzzing at all from the body or strings.
