Taiwan versus South Korea

Considering China think Taiwan belongs to them, if Taiwan goto war with South Korea, then that means China vs South Korea. The outcome will be pretty obvious.
 
So. Korea has a pretty significant & advanced military, so if they were to fight Taiwan (without the US & China involved) they would no doubt win.
 
SK has the larger economy, higher defense budget, and every SK male was at on point in their life served in the military.

if it's taiwan vs sk, sk will probably come out on top. and imdmn04, if it's china vs south korea, then it's china vs USA/korea/japan/aussie..etc...

The outcome will be pretty obvious 😛

and LOL @ the starcraft reference hahaha. i knew that was bound to come up, but it came up as the first response lol.

I dont think it will be that obvious if everybody is involved, especially near China's own turf.

Taiwanese citizens are required by law to enlist in the army and undergo training for 2-4 years. And show your sources for SK's "higher defense budget" etc.

No matter, Taiwan buys its military toys from the US. What will SK throw at Taiwan? Halt their MMORPG servers and send Taiwanese netcafes out of business?

It's like saying who would win, taiwan vs japan. Japan has no military. They have something like a national guard.

That's the easy way out and I dont think its the point of this thread.

Both Taiwan and S.Korea are in similar economic situations and are both U.S. - backed. Sorta like little Japans all over again.

Your easy way out is like saying who would win, a wolf or a bear. "Oh a wolf because wolves live and hunt in packs", but that's not the point, its all about the fantasy of speculation in the ideal/fair 1 on 1 fight.

Instead of your copout answer, I could counter and say Korea could win if they tag team with N.Korea and they get off their WMDs first, Taiwan is a small island, take out Taipei and a few other key targets and you win, even if China destroys you in retalliation Taiwan will still be dead.

That being said, I think Taiwan's smaller size is a hinderence, that and the StarCraft advantage to SK 😉

for the record, NO, SK's military is NOT controlled by the US. that's like asking if Germany's military is controlled by the US.

no, they would'nt all get in...and if us would join sk, then many other central asian and middle eastern countries would join china.

so its stupid to think that it would get to that cause that would be WWIII
 

China would own both since they are waiting for a political unstable incident to occur in the region as an excuse to expand their empire. Just as they did with Tibet & the Spratly Islands.

Much of the SK military was supplied directly by the US as a counter to North Korea, they have more soldiers for the same reason & while in the Tech industry they are fairly equal,
heavy industry goes overwhelmingly to SK as in ships, trains, cars, trucks & heavy equipment, aircraft etc.

 
We'll just send 10 Western Digital Raptors into the area as a show of force. All hostilities would cease when all sides see the futility of what they are doing.
