I'm looking at that nice 60x80mm Cold Forged Aluminum Taisol.
It's The CGK742xxx I think...can't remember the last 3 letters.

Also there is the newer CGK760042, basically the same but with a copper inlay.

How much better cooling performance will you get from the CGK760042? It certainly costs a bunch more...

The PAL6035 beats the TGK760042?? What the heck?
The TGK760042 has quite a bit more mass than the Alpha I thought...

I'm pretty sure that if you put the same fans on both the pal and the taisol the taisol would perform better. The stock fan on the taisol is very wimpy.

hardocp heatsink review

One thing Kyle knows best is heatsinks.

Check it out.

Personally I have the thermoengine heatsink. It's the best heatsink without using a lot of money. I paid $30 but I have delta fan, Y.S. Tech, Fan already so whenever I need the boost I just swap it around.

At first the clip really hard when you first install it but you can use your fingers after the first install.

I got a solid core one but use a 60x60x25 mm Y.S. tech fan for now.

I connect 5volts instead 12volts to my intake fan (no exaust except my power supply) and the thermoengine still keeps it cool. My CPU doesn't go over 46 C! This is on duron 750 @ 900 150mhz fsb with 1.85 volts.

My system is stable even with win98. It performs like a champ without a single crash. :)

One good thing about getting these performance heatsinks is that you can actually make the system very quite.

I had a system with like 10 fans but I really hated because of the noise but now it sounds like a system that's not overclocked. ;)
