I know this is an easy/dumb questions but......

What is the difference between the two? If my MB has connectors for case fans, which one do I want to us? Do I need Molex connectors?

Someone please explain this to me.

Thanx

Untailed is bare wires, best if you're using a Baybus or Rheobus to control your fans. Tailed is the wires with a power connector on the end. Use 3-pin if you want to connect it to a fan header on your motherboard. 4-pin if you want to use a regular molex. The only trouble with 4-pin is that you can't monitor RPMs with it. But 4-pin is better for some of the faster/bigger fans that might pull to much voltage and burn out the mobo header.
