Tagliabue to NFL Players: Stop Celeberating

This is dumb.

I totally disagree with Paul. I am entertained by the end zone antics..I can't these "old-timers" that want the "glory days of football" back, where they didn't have facemasks..or the forward pass for that matter. It IS entertainment, let the players have some fun.

Although, I did find LaVar Arringtons comments incredibly stupid...but, its LaVar...

I agree that its totally about entertaining the fans. Let them have their fun and let them drum up some media attention. That's where all the money is, Paul.

i thought TO's celebration was pretty cool when he did that

Joe Horn's was really stupid.

My favorite of all time, was when TO went to the Dallas Cowboys Star and celebrated. 😀

I don't mind it when they celebrate after a TD, but defences take it too far. A guy makes a tackle and then goes crazy. That's what should stop.

I can't stand that dancing around and sh!t. Esp. after something like a tackle or a sack. They're paid to do that. This is Football. Not American Idol.

Barry Sanders had the best TD celebration....hand the ball to the ref and head towards the sideline.

yeah.
i liked that too, but then again im not a dallas fan.
that one might have crossed a line, but who cares its dallas.
the pen in the sock was clever, taking the pom pons from the cheerleader was clever.
if nothing else, he is original.

It would be interesting to see the percentage of people who are younger and like it/dont like it, and the people who are older and like it/dont like it. I think the older people generally don't approve of it. Just my opinion though.

Define older.

I don't know. I don't want to offend anyone. Lets say..30 and over would be "Older".

Ok, I'm younger than 30 and those celebrations annoy me.

I can't stand all this end zone garbage. At least try to pretend you're more about winning than getting your fugly ass face (yes, I'm talking about you Joe Horn) on tv. Seriously, if they could drop Joe Horn and TO on a raft in the middle of the Pacific and let the Navy use them for target practice nothing would thrill me more. I'm also 22.

Oh, anyone who's going to make the argument that it's getting media attention for the game; stop. You could not be more wrong. Well, you're right in that it gets attention but you're wrong in your belief that it makes any difference. The NFL is a monster and they don't need their players to pimp them. They don't need a LeBron James to save their league like the pathetic NBA does. The NFL doesn't need hype. The product sells itself week in and week out just fine.

I thought TO's stuff was pretty cool, Joe Horns was out of line. But at the same time, I'm defintely not about showing up the other team and giving them a reason to head hunt my @$$.
