Link For The Lazy

Quote from Wikipedia...

Tagged.com has earned the disdain of many users and invitees because of the way the site demands access to the registrant's Gmail.com account, then, without confirmation or option, emailing Tagged.com invitations on behalf of the new registrant to every contact found in the Gmail account's Contacts list, including anyone to whom an email has ever been addressed. A Google search for "Tagged.com" finds several blog posts complaining about this behavior and warning potential users to be wary. The registration process for a Tagged.com account demands the user enter his/her Gmail.com password, a gross violation of basic personal information security. There is no way to bypass this step of registration, except by manually editing the URL to go to the Tagged.com home page, and if the Gmail password is not entered, and the user presses "Next", the page reloads with red text which says "Please enter password", implying that it is necessary and required to enter this personal data. Users should be warned that releasing control of one's password for an email account in this way could result in serious abuse of that account, up to and including identity theft.

Hahahhaa... Who in their right mind would ever enter their un/pw from one site on another site?

Wow, I have gotten some emails inviting me to 'tagged' but always have deleted them as some stupid spam. I just tried to register a fake account there and sure enough, it asks for the gmail password. I entered a fake email with a fake address and it says that the address/pw combo was incorrect. I wonder if they try logging in as soon as you submit to make sure they have your real password.

What's next, fuckyourself.com? Please enter your SS #, all financial information, and leave your keys in your car before proceeding...

Create new gmail.com account.

Fill address book with about 1,000,000 entries, which have various aliases but emails are all for tagged.com support.

Sign up at tagged.com
