Tagan Power Supplies

Has anyone used Tagan power supplies? Are they any good. I've been hearing about them lately but I have never heard of them before. I'm thinking of building a new system, and am used to PC Power & Cooling...so I wanted to know how they would compare even though they are NO where near close in price. Anyone know how they compare to Seasonic or Silverstone?

Edit - Power range - 700 watts and up prefered

They have had a spotty rep. but IDK about the latest units. Seasonic and Silverstone (made by either Enhance or Etasis) are generally top shelf PSUs. You didn't mention the power range you were looking at but the Enhance ENP-5150GH (at eWiz) is a lot of PSU for low bucks.

I have a 480W unit. It works flawlessly and I was suprised at the quality of the build. Definitely worth it imo.

I'd buy two 5150GHGs before I'd buy one overpriced barge... The way I understand it is that Tagan is a German company takes Enermax designs and tweaks them - then sells 'em under their own name... Some of their early tweaks weren't done that well.

I don't think Tagan uses Enermax designs. I think they use either Topower or CWT...anyway some of the PSUs are pretty decent, but they're not the best. Check out jonnyguru for the scoop.
