the system is an Amd XP 2600 with 512mb ram , hard disk ide, dvdrw, cdrw, and dvd rom , soundcard and gforce 4 ti4200 ...

but you know it will be ready for future upgrades.

Tagan is built by Topower, it's alright but not great.

Forton-Source, Seasonic, and Enhance are all better choices.
 
topower also supplies ocz if i remember. i have the tagan 480w u22, excellent unit. very, very quiet and solid rails. some useful "patented" features.
 
28A on 12v is nothign to scoff at but still seems sorta low for a newer 480watt.
My older 460watt only has 25A but personally If I were to buy a PSU right now I'd go for one with alteast 30A on the 12v rail.
