I used to really like eating there in iowa. There is only one here in florida, in tavares, which is like a hour+ away from me. I'm debating taking an excursion out there to get some. Anyone else here like TJ's?

Six pack and a pound. A true staple of any college students diet. (Went to college in Iowa)

Ya, we have one in our small town. Chicken Potato burrito with some oles sounds pretty good for lunch.

The only reason to go there is for the Oles, the hot sauce isn't hot and TB is way better / cleaner in our area.

I do enjoy Taco Johns.

However, I'd be willing to trade you one of ours for an Arby's. (Nearest is 45 minutes away) :)

Oh man... Taco John.

I haven't eaten there since I lived in Colorado. They don't have those in Florida.

Every Tuesday while in college (Madison, WI) my roommates and I would go to Taco Johns and get the 2 tacos for $0.99 and a bean burrito for $0.99. Unfortunately, it seemed like every year they would raise the prices $0.10. Bu the time I graduated, I think it was $1.29.

Eh I prefer a local chain called Chubby's. They seem to vary from location to location (then that can be said for a lot of chains really) but the one nearby me makes really good burritos & tacos. Really good carne asada steak too.

we don't have Taco John's in California, I looked at the web site, correct me if I'm wrong but these Potato Ole's look like hash brown bites, or Tater Tots. What the hell is Mexican about that? :) I do love Potatoes though so I want to try them

Potato Oles are tasty, but you're right. They're just seasoned tater tots.

I liked Taco Bell about 12 years ago, but after a while it seemed like everything there was just some brownish colored goop squirted into a shell. I haven't eaten at one in a long time. Taco John's always seemed a bit more like real food than something you'd store in a fallout shelter.

We have 2 taco bells and 1 taco john. By far taco john wins flavor.Their refried beans and their ground beef has a much better taste and consistency than taco bells. Its also really clean. Not only the dining area but inside the kitchen (you can see inside it from the counter).

My friends and I love eating there. the flavor is much better than taco bell. crunchy chicken potato burrito + oles for the win!

by the way, we have at least 5 restaurants in my area!
