I don't eat fast food all that much, but am a pretty big fan of Taco Bell. Still, the variety that Del Taco offers and their overall menu beats out Taco Bell imo..

Both suck pretty bad! (Taco Time ftw!) But each has things on their menu that are good, some better than the other's version of it. I hate the super-fine grind both use for their taco meat. Looks almost like the texture of canned cat food... I DO like Del Taco's option of fries however. Taco Time has "mexi-Fries", (tater tots) that are great filled with taco sauce... and their crispy burritos are fvcking great. Every visit to the northwest, it's a trip to Taco Time, and another to Skipper's Fish & Chips. (Yes Seattlites, Ivar's is great too...)

I don't think this is a fair poll. Del Taco is located primarily in the west, while Taco Bell has locations all over.

Well the west is the only side that matters anyway ;)

Taco Bell if I HAVE to, I've had Del Taco once, it was GROSS. I'll find a nice sitdown place if I want mexican food.

You youngsters don't even know... Del Taco changed their magnificent chicken soft taco and turned it into just another fast food item.

Taco Bell has never let me down like that...

Taco Bell for the win!!!

they're both disgusting... why not just spend 3 more bucks and go to a mexican restaurant where they actually serve you FOOD? plus, you can get all the tortillas and salsa you want.

if you say something about wanting the food quickly because you don't have time, just call the restaurant before you leave the house and place the order to-go.... it takes all of 3 minutes to make mexican food... you just throw meat, beans, and/or cheese in a tortilla, wrap it up, and fry both sides real quick. you'll have a full, cheap meal that's actually considered real food AND it tastes way the hell better than these bullshyt taco joints.

there's a reason taco bell can't let you down like that... it's hard to make crap crappier.

Both sucks.. but out of the two, I'll have taco bell.
Since I live in southern california, I have dozens of hole-in-the-wall authentic mexican places within a 5 mile radius wherever I go.
A rule of the thumb of mexican food is the more ghetto the place looks, the better the food. ;)

that's pretty much almost always true of all ethnic food. it's probably because they're immigrants and they're so poor, they're probably just gonna take whatever's leftover from the day for their dinner/lunch. if it's safe for them to eat it, it's safe for you to eat it...

I follow the rats rule. Each rat represents a star for that restaurant..i.e. 2 rats = 2 stars, 5 rats = 5 stars.
