Actually, not. That's "canner" grade, and Taco Bell doesn't use canner grade beef.

right, as far as i know most places use good meat, it is just the way that they're preparing them that ruins it.

Probably beef 50s.

By that I mean 50% fat. Quite common usage actually.

..scraps and tailings from butchering. A rung or two up the ladder from dog food.

I'm so sick of hearing sh!t about taco bell meat.

It's no different than the meat that you buy in a grocery store.

the scraps from butchering are not bad. A local butcher takes the scrapbs from butting steak and grinds them up into hamburger. its great.

i heard once from someone that use to work there that its grade "F" meat. this was also the guy that i wouldnt trust to click the start button on my computer, though, so make your own judgements

It could be kangaroo meat for all I care. As long as it tastes good when smothered in lettuce, cheese and hot sauce I'll keep ordering it.

Sure it is.
Elaborate.

Different fat content for one.
Yes, it would be leaner. The higher grades of meat (like Prime or Choice) have more marbling and thus more fat.

Yeah, it's actually leaner than most cuts of meat you'll find in the supermarket. Taco Bell simply buys in bulk, which lets them charge less. Their meat is perfectly fine, tastes good, nothing to worry about.

I worked at taco bell when I was 17, one day we saw something wierd in the meat and it turned out to be part of a cows tongue.

yummy.

It was about 4 inches long, that was our best guess. The meat came in these huge boil in bags, was pretty disgusting.
