Taco Bell Fire Sauce

If I could have only one, it would be tabasco. Not my favorite for everything, but versatile, and good enough for everytning.

It's just too vinegary...otherwise, the flavor is good, heat level is low enough for just about anything.

I like having many hot sauces around, but if I could have only one I imagine Cholula would be my go to sauce for used the most.

It's the one we always keep in stock for general purpose use at any rate. Not the fanciest hot sauce out there, but the wife and I both like it, and it is not expensive for general use.

I knew this would turn into a hot sauce thread. If I could only have one for the rest of my life, it would definitely be Sriracha.

I prefer some good Indonesian sambal is better than those vinegar based ht sauces any day but almost impossible to find outside of Holland/SE Asia

That's my daughter's favorite. I got her a huge bottle for jul.

I don't care for sriracha. I don't like the sweetness. I don't hate it per se, but the hipster love for it, and putting it in every imaginable product, has made me hate it.

This is what I keep at home for most things. I don't like Tabasco and I don't like Tapatio.

I keep sriracha and cholula around the house. They each have their place. Sometimes I buy a jar of harissa from my favorite falafel joint in NYC as well.

But Taco Bell Fire Sauce is their first sauce to actually have some kick to it. It's mostly shit food but once in awhile a craving for soft taco supremes gets the best of me, maybe for nostalgia's sake. You know how it is dogs right? But Fire Sauce it is all the way now.

This shit is real yo!

i use taco bell mild sauce :colbert:

I prefer the mild sauce as well. Fire sauce is just saltier version of mild.

I buy the cheapest hot sauce on sale. Usually Texas Pete, Louisiana, or Crystal. Couple days ago I bought Valentina. $1.78 for 1 liter bottle at Aldi. Can't beat that.

Gotta have a variety of hot sauces...

El Yucateco, Sriracha, Tabasco, chili paste, Cholula solid too.

The only thing I use any Taco Bell sauce for is a laxative. It's 100% guaranteed to give me the shits, every time.

I use the Diablo sauce in the rare event I go to Taco Bell, and I'm not really much of a Cholula fan. I've got Valentina, Secret Aardvark, and Thai chili garlic paste in the fridge right now. I've also got about 7 oz of dried thai chili peppers (hundreds) that I use in a lot of cooking.
