Tacking on extra shipping charges after I order?

I ordered this game from this company. The shipping charge showed up as $3.99. Note that this charge only shows up after I enter my shipping address.

I got an email saying that the package weighs 1lb 4oz and they have charged my card an extra $3.75 to cover this. WTF. This is pretty shady and I am now composing a nastygram.

What is a nastygram?

Call you CC company and say you didn't authorize that charge.

a nastygram in this case is a strongly worded email reply saying that I will do a chargeback on the additional amount and not order from them again.
