Can anyone explain what Stop@Home is trying to accomplish?

They have wiki links on the homepage, the first link I understood, the 2nd link was more technical. From the first link, I gather part of their goal is to analyze the spacing between primes, and perhaps detect some pattern(s) there. Primes 1, 3, 5, 7, 11 for example have spacings of 2, 2, 2, 4.
