bummer.

Guess I'm back to seeing how Warhammer: Age of Reckoning, Huxley, and Jumpgate: Evolution turn out. A few others look interesting, but not a single MMO has come out... ever... that really feels like 'the one' for me. I'm not against MMOs, but not one has actually clicked with me to keep me interested long enough to get past level 20.

I liked it when I played the beta... I actually liked it a lot but it was really boring when I just grinded the whole time. I figured out a way to keep my exp at 6x(or whatever the max was) the whole time and it was just like XP haven from there. I was leveling stupid fast in a low level section.

I liked the sort of casual FPS style of combat. Unfortunately, the game didn't feel finished or focused enough. I really didn't like the environments/design and didn't get into the quests or storyline. There were also some seemingly basic bugs that were never fixed afaik. The crafting and inventory/item system wasn't really well thought out and every change they made seemed to make things worse.

I'd really like to see more scifi MMOs, but TR didn't really hold my attention.

I was looking forward to Imperator for a long time, until they cancelled it for Warhammer.

Imperator

Blackstar is another project that looked good, but lost it's publisher (NCSoft).

Blackstar

I've been following news about the Stargate, KOTOR and Star Trek projects, but I wouldn't mind seeing some new, original, unlicensed storylines for a scifi MMO.

Yeah this one feels pretty dead. You can buy the boxed version with a free month for about $5. It had some promises in being a non melee mmo, but easily could have used another year or so in developement.

I would be interested in seeing how the Stargate one turns out.

Eh? If you are referring to WoW, considering WoW unfinished at release would by comparison make Tabula Rasa a concept art drawing on a restaurant napkin at release time. The game was seriously unfinished not "oh dear the auction house has lag" unfinished. WoW had an insane beta period, people thought they were playing a finished product for free for a long time there.

I'm not surprised to see this game fail. I had a blast playing the closed beta, but I just cannot support any company who wants to charge a monthly fee to play a game. And apparently not enough people who are willing to pay to play liked the game anyway.

Edit: BTW, "you are opinion"??
