+1 Heck, with the 15% coupon, a lot of us got the 16GB for $85 and the 32GB for $128 straight from HP.
How the hell can you beat a 10" S-IPS screen with pretty decent hardware for that price? When/if WebOS does become hopelessly outdated, then we'll wave it a tearful goodbye and switch over to Android ;)

I missed out, but that's a very attractive price point, and even my tablet hating ass likes them then :^D

I'm happy with my crappy Android tablets for what I paid. I wanted an Ereader, and light browser, and that's what I got. Rooting it has been fun, and I might try making some apps for it. I've wanted to get into programming, and this gives me a need I can fill :^)

Yeah and they are way too freaking big to carry around with you, so totally useless.
Sorry, didn't mean to come off as inflamatory. Obviously carrying around a 10" tablet isn't the most ideal method of mobile web surfing, but the tiny real estate of a typical smartphone makes it a little uncomfortable (IMHO anyway).

Hey I'd love to have a giant screen to look at at all times, but it's just not practical. I did consider getting the note as it seems to be in-between the smartphone and tablet, but I could not wait for it to come out here.

What we need are neural interfaces dammit! Then we'd only need a small box and no more worries about the practical limits of displays and input peripherals :(
I'm not keen on this however :p http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EaHUpWuqNHY

I'm waiting to see what MS Win8 tablets look like ... I'm not interested in running an Apple or Android tablet, though kindle fire is tempting for the $$$, I'll wait for the inevitable revision to come out first ...

I keep thinking about getting an Android tablet for a toy but every time I start searching for one that can do what I'd like to use it for I find there are so many I give up.

Pick a price range, then read up on it. If your buying a toy, go for the low end. You can get something hackable for around $100. The performance will likely suck, and the app selection reduced, but it'll make a good reader/web browser if nothing else. The real fun is in the hacking, so buy based on that, and keep your expectations low. Check these forums out for a hackable tablet

Web surfing on tablets >>> smartphone

Same deal. I carry my brother's HP TouchPad in the same motorcycle tank bag as my Alienware M11x R3 (and R1 before it). The IPS panel puts the M11x to shame. I loaded Android on there with Shadowgun and it games pretty well too!

I remember a M11x R3 review saying that there were no 11.6" IPS panels for Alienware to chose from because they were all for netbooks but that is untrue: The 11.6" MacBook Air has one that is gorgeous. Also, a 12.1" display would easily fit in the same chassis with less of a bezel.

我認為它很有用。我正在洗手間留言。
