Are there any tablets now days that can run Microsoft Office well.
I do a lot of training and use videos embedded in PowerPoint.
I'd also like to be able to take notes on it with a pen in office meetings.

I probably wouldn't create the training material on the tablet, just travel with it and hook it to projectors and sound systems to deliver the training and check office email.

TIA

The Surface Pro or any number of other full blown Windows tablets.

However, at that point, just get a laptop. There is the Surface RT, but Office on there is a little gimped, not sure if PowerPoint is or not, but Excel can't use macros for example.

Well, thing is Surface Pro is already a laptop, it's just a removable keyboard.

Office is gimped if there are few specific features that you need listed here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Office_2013#Office_RT

Otherwise, I think it's fine for most people. PowerPoint is fully functional.

Surface RT is a clear winner here. My sister has a surface and it works fine for this.

My surface works great for office - I've given presentations with PowerPoint and it works very well. As long as you don't use macros, its basically the full office experience.

I haven't had to give a presentation in forever, but does Office support letting you have your notes and slides on your Surface (or laptop), and only the presentation slides up on the projector?

Yea it works really well. You have your notes, a slide, and a timer so you can keep track of the length of the presentation from the surface' screen.
