Tablet wont boot (not charging?)

Can anyone help me with this? I have one of the Winbook atom tablets, the low end model TW700, and it wont turn on. When I try to charge it, the little blue LED comes on, but even plugged in, the tablet wont boot. If I leave it plugged in, the light stays on for a while and then goes out, like the tablet is charged, but it still wont turn on. By that I mean, there is no response at all when I depress the power button, the screen just stays black. It was working properly until yesterday when this problem started, although the charging port always seemed to not fit very will with the plug.

It charges through a mini usb port, and I have tried several chargers with the same result. Any thoughts/suggestions? I am assuming it must be either the battery or the mini-usb charging port.

How hard is it to remove the battery? I wonder if making it take power directly from the cord without the battery inside would work. That's what I had to do on one of my old Dell laptops to get it to work, and the light was being all wonky and it wouldn't turn on otherwise like yours. I've never owned a tablet though...

Thanks for the help. I guess I should have searched the internet more before posting. Apparently this is an issue with these tablets, and the solution is to open the case, disconnect the battery, and reattach it.

This worked for me, the tablet booted up without problem after doing this. Now all I have to do is figure our how to get the back onto the case properly. It just snaps on, but is tricky.

Here is a link to explain the protocol if others have the same problem:
