Tablet to replace a non-gaming laptop.

Edit: Going to get a Transformer Prime in a couple months when the stock situation is a little more stable. It should be able to easily handle everything I do with my laptop. I can get the dock later if I feel the need for a keyboard, plus it keeps me in the Android ecosystem, where I've spent a fair bit of money on apps.




I currently have a Dell 17" laptop, and this thing is massive. It has a 2ghz dual-core, 4gb ram, HD3650 gpu and 250gb HDD. I use it for web browsing, casual/very light gaming and some tv/movie watching in HD.

I realized I don't need this much power for my usage patterns on this machine.

I'd like to replace it with a 10" tablet (though the 7" is my favorite form-factor for tablets, a 10 will be better for browsing). I need Adobe Flash support, so as much as I'd like to get an iPad2, it's off the list entirely.

Aside from Flash, I'd also like a non-Tegra2 dual-core, HDMI out and at least 16gb of onboard storage. Modding is not required or desired, at all. MicroSD card slot, 1gb of ram and guaranteed upgrade to Android 4.0 would be nice, but not needed.

I'd like to spend around 400-450. Does a device like this exist? I haven't really kept up with the tablet market except a couple of the big-hype devices like the Fire, iPad2, Transformer Prime and etc.

Galaxy tab 10.1 is decent. Acer has that quad core tegra though right?
I have splashtop and with a wireless keyboard and mouse I can play games away from home with tethering provided my desktop is on.

Out of curiosity, would you mind listing a few of these site that require a device that can run flash? I ask because I would like to visit them with my iPad 2 to see what functionality is missing. Honestly, I haven't had any problem whatsoever with not being able to run flash content and I visit sites of every kind. It would be interesting to find a site that is actually broken by the ipad’s inability to run flash.
 
I have never found a site that i cannot access on my Ipad. If you click on a Youtube link for instance it opens up the youtube app. I think many sites are on HTML5 now arnt they? cause i've come across many where video's play in the web page.

But maybe OP wants to play flash games or animated videos. Like i can't play Happy Tree Friends vids. but the site works other than that.

Newgrounds, mostly. The vast majority of their games are flash. There's a couple of other sites, but I don't have my laptop handy to pull the bookmarks for you.

Edit: I've actually just decided to get a Transformer Prime. I can always get the dock if I feel the need for a keyboard, and it should easily be able to handle everything I currently do with my laptop.

You're going to have a horrible experience with those games on any tablet because those games are designed for mouse click interface.

firstrowsports.tv is a flash site I often use with my Android phone.

I use firstrow just about every night on my Nexus. There's no way I could go back to a device that doesn't have flash (or LTE for that matter).

Having said that, I look forward to the day flash is no longer used.
