I am trying to figure out the difference between a simple tablet pointer and a stylus. Just bought a dell venue 8 pro tablet and am trying to figure out a way to navigate windows since my fingers ate too fat for many of the functions. I don't have a mouse yet but that is just one more bulky thing to deal with.

My only experience has been with stylii. My fingertips are likewise too fat for accurate typing. If I have to do much of that, I connect a Bluetooth KB. I don't know of any mouse for a tablet except perhaps a hybrid, a.k.a. convertible.
