with all the hype of the Ouya and Google console, is there a tablet out there now that can do this?
1- connects to the TV via HDMI?
2- wireless controller/mouse plugs into the usb port? so i can sit comfortably on the sofa.

i would rather get a tablet for its portability like a laptop versus a Boxee for watching movies.

Many Android tablets do this, especially if you root it and use a Six Axis. The problem is the lack of supported games. It is great for emulation of old consoles.

Well said the problem with using such type of tablets is the lack of support available online. I hope makers of these tablets look in to this issue and try to get this solved.

Ehh, I could see it for up to the PS1/N64 gen, but PS2 and Gamecube emulators like to eat overclocked desktop quad cores like a fat kid in a candy shop.

Why do you need a full sized HDMI port on a tablet? You can just buy an HDMI to micro HDMI cable for $5.
