That's fine if all I'm doing is IMing, but that's rare, so I'd have to alt-tab to my IM window and then ctrl-tab to the right tab. And I'm not sure if tabbed IM programs work like this, but every other program I've used that uses ctrl-tab to move between tabs/documents goes in order, from left to right (or right to left if you'd like) instead of the alt-tab behavior (in order of most recently used).

To each his own though. 🙂
