The team currently just ahead of us (HWF) have upped their daily production to just about match ours.
We need to ramp it up people!
I for one have been working (& spending $$$) to up my daily production.
I'll be running two iNtel & 3 AMD systems total by the end of today, Fed-Ex says a motherboard is "out for delivery" today so I'll get that 1800+ back together and my daily production should go up to 20+
I've averaged about 10 / day for a long time, so this is a significant increase for me.
What can you do? Maybe you know someone with an idle computer? Maybe you can get them to join the TeAm or just let you run it on their machine for your own account?
Maybe you could sell off some older computer equipment and replace it with some of the newer AMD or P4 stuff?
Whatever you can do to step it up would be great, we need more production to take 4th place from the French and then we will need to keep that place and advance on 3rd (only 2 million WU's to go....)
Ok, mainly we will need to keep 4th place. The teams just below us are going to want to move up, we will have to keep our production up to hold 4th place in the world.
Who knows, maybe one of them will want to disband and join us - putting us up in reach of the top?
Anyway, lets pour it on and pull out all the stops - do whatever needs to be done and get MORE,MORE,MORE seti WU's done!
 
As soon as the new version of the FlexInstaller is available I'll likely assimilate most of rleach2's old fleet. I'd guess I can get about 50 WU's per day out of them. 🙂

I'll be helping LANMAN with the TeAm crackrack project however, so additional production will still indirectly come from me. 🙂

I nabbed a refurb A7N266-VM mobo for about $40 shipped, Fed-Ex should be at my door momentarily.

This board will only overclock if modified, it involves cutting a jumper and joining it to another spot - it's like there should be a 3 pin jumper set there but then hardwired it to prevent overclocking - since by default the video shares system memory.

You get Geforce2 video with the deal, and it has 6 channel dolby stero and 100meg LAN onboard.

I think I cooked my first attempt too much and so now I am tempted to cut that jumper and connect it with conductive paint.
I'd like to know if it works by merely connecting pins 2&3 without cutting between 1&2. I can do this without cutting or soldering anything, so that sounds like something I could easily wipe away if it didn't work.

Basically the question is: Since it works with 2&3 connected and 1&2 cut - would it also work with 1&2&3 connected?
Most likely not, but where's the harm in trying? 😉😛

I have an Abit BX7 that is a super OCer. It does cost a little more than the Asus but if you don't have to do any surgery it is probably worth it. Capt'n Rick #1 on TeAm Smokeball is using this board and has it running at 1850 MHz. 🙂

well Wiz.....i like you have been working (and spending) hard the last month to up my production.....i think i have kept newegg going on my own...(maybe around $1500).......my numbers have been down because of all my upgrades and of course they dont all go as planned.........will have all my crunchers on line within 2 weeks i would think...need a few more things from newegg...lol....


ps.....these 2600 cpu's kick some serious seti a$$......stock running board so far and times have all been in the low to mid 2 minute range......wait till i have a chance to play with this thing a bit.....under 2 minute times!!!

I agree that we need more production.

I just upped my production with the help of a friend today. Drumminboy on the forums, who runs SETI for me, just added a P3 933 (24/7) for me tonight. It hasn't completed it's first WU yet, but I imagine it should do a few per day for me🙂 Thanks Drumminboy!

I got a call yesterday informing me that the Asus A7M266-D that I ordered for $89 is out of stock and will never be in stock again.🙁
