if you look at the number of S@H posts around here I don't think that anyone minds a double F@H thread on reaching the Top 100 Teams...:)

BTW, my console seems to be crunching 2x times faster now...

<<BTW, my console seems to be crunching 2x times faster now..>>.

Do you mean faster than the CLI? or did you download the beta version? Inquiring minds want to know ;)

yep it is a lot faster cruncher than the GUI...

My first WU took almost 3 full days to crunch, since I've switched to the console client I've finished 3 WU's in 4.5 days

so it is more than 2x times faster than the GUI

BTW, about 10 days ago we were at 149. Thats 50 positions in 10 days.
Go Team!

Also, anyone else notice MereMortal is approaching godhood?
He's really cranking out some WU's in the last few days...

Congrats! :)

I may be able to help you guys get to 75, but after that, you're on your own for a while.

Nagger, are you sure about that? I don't know----it's possible, but all WUs are not created equal. Are you still working on the same protein?

[assimilation mode]

IJump,

If you place some of your fleet computers on our side until the end of the race against TechImo we'll probably reach the Top 50 in a flash...

I've worked on 4 diferent Protein sets...

The first one #112 was the slowest to crunch (GUI)

The second one #113 was a bit faster (1.5 days) using the Console

The next two #304 and #554 sure were fast

for instance the logfile_02 is dating tuesday, 5th of March 2002, 13:29:17

and the logfile_04 is dating thursday, 7 of March 2002, 13:16:10

so that leaves 48 hours to crunch 2 WU's

I am wainting on Narzy's CLI service install instruction page. ;)

I have about 22 computers that will probably be running F@H for the TeAm. Probably around 11GHz total of various Intel P2/P3s. I figure 100 WUs a day in SETI is OK for now...... :D

Welcome to Team AnandTech Folding@Home IJump:)

Do you know how to use Firedaemon to install services in Windows NT/2000?

I used it to install ECCp-109 and now Folding@Home on some machines...

This will be going onto Win98 machines. It will be as a psuedo service. If Narzy doesn;t have something like that, I will modify the one I have for SETI and use it. I will post that for everyone here, of course. :)

And thanks for the welcome! :)

Thanks for the hint about Firedaemon, Nagger. I wasn't familiar with it, but I am going to become so...

When did you guys start folding again? I tried in the past and there wasn't much interest in TA folding.
I just noticed that you are finally going good now so, I'M IN. I just switched about half of my rigs to your team so figure on being in 90th place before the week is out. Also MereMortal, no offense but you need to get over into the right lane. :)

Stanman, it's about time you showed up! ;)

I'm just donating some time until I shut down for a few weeks. When I set up shop again it will most likely be back to ECCp.

But I thought I'd help out a TA project that needed it, since all of our other projects are in the top 30.
