One thing I'm not sure about with this project- how do work unit &quot;transactions&quot; work? As far as I can tell, my ECCp-109 client doesn't fetch anything. How does it know that it isn't repeating work another client has already done?

during setup the client creates a random point set that it works from and the odds of
2 sets being the same are extremely slim. Not something to worry about really

Why are people leaving the ECCp-109 team? With folks leaving d.net, seems like now would be the time that new members would gather.
 
Are we actually switching from TA to TA/SO? It can be easily done but we all need to go or none of us go. Opinions?

actually some people are just switching to the TA/SO team which is a joint team
from TA and Sysopt.

 
Oh, didn't realize that a joint team had formed. I'd just assume crack for Team Anandtech. What is the reason for creating the joint team? Not just stats, I hope.

Yep, you almost caught me last weekend when 80% of my herd was down for about 36 hours. My Sunday's numbers were very low because of it.

It was really strange - all the (Linux) diskless nodes upstairs rebooted (attempted to reboot) as if there had been a power glitch - but nothing else in the house lost power. I made the code change to the Linux client to change the default timeout from minutes to seconds. So supposedly the Linux clients should run forever - 'in theory' 🙂
